New York Botanical Garden

The New York Botanical Garden is an advocate for the plant kingdom. The Garden pursues its mission through its role as a museum of living plant collections arranged in gardens and landscapes across its National Historic Landmark site; through its comprehensive education programs in horticulture and plant science; and through the wide-ranging research programs of the International Plant Science Center.


Bronx River Alliance

The Bronx River Alliance serves as a coordinated voice for the river and works in harmonious partnership to protect, improve and restore the Bronx River corridor so that it can be a healthy ecological, recreational, educational and economic resource for the communities through which the river flows.


Bronx Council for Environmental Quality

 

(BCEQ) is a non-profit 501(c)3 membership organization located in NYC’s only mainland borough — The Bronx. We are a diverse collection of individuals all seeking to leave our great grandchildren better air, land, and water quality than we have at present.

We are teachers, community activists, health professionals — environmentalists.


The Butterfly Project

We strive to increase education about native plants while supporting the active participation of people of all ages in local community, school and public gardens.


Friends of Van Cortlandt Park

The Friends of Van Cortlandt Park (FVCP), an independent community based organization, actively promotes the conservation and improvement of Van Cortlandt Park, the third largest park in NYC, through environmental education and restoration and enhancement of the Park, its forests and trails.


The Association for Energy Efficiency

AEA is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit training and technical services organization that represents and provides services to a diverse network of community-based organizations that are local subgrantees of New York State’s Weatherization Assistance Program administered by the New York State Division of Housing & Community Renewal (DHCR).  For more than a decade, AEA has been at the forefront of addressing energy efficiency in multifamily buildings. Today building owners and managers can take advantage of a broad range of weatherization and energy management programs and services offered by the AEA network.

SSBx is a non-profit that champions opportunity in the South Bronx by delivering integrated economic & environmental solutions through innovative job training, public advocacy & education programs.


 Trees NY

Trees New York was founded in 1976 as a volunteer response to New York City’s devastating cutbacks in forestry and tree-related community services. Trees New York has 40 years of experience in community tree planting, stewardship and education projects. Since its founding, Trees New York has trained over 12,500 Citizen Pruners and 8,000 youth in tree care and stewardship. Since 2005, Trees New York has planted over 5,000 trees in underserved communities throughout New York City.
